Head Neck Surgery and Oncology

Head and neck cancer incorporate those of the mouth, throat, sinuses/nasal pit, larynx, thyroid, and skull base. Some head and neck tumours are malignant, while others are benign. Malignant tumours should be dealt with speedily to lessen their shots at spreading (metastasizing) to different organs. Benign tumours are not destructive yet it can increase pressure on the head and neck. It can be serious if they impact nerves and are therefore often removed surgically.
