Head Neck Surgery and Oncology

Head and neck cancer incorporate those of themouth, throat, sinuses/nasal pit, larynx, thyroid, andskull base. Some head and neck tumors are malignant, while othersare benign. Malignant tumors should be dealt with speedily to lessen theirshots at spreading (metastasizing) to different organs. Benign tumors are notdestructive yet it can increase pressure on the head and neck. It can be serious if they impactnerves and are therefore often removed surgically.
